Have you ever wanted to get frisked by Bishop? Snarked at by Bridget? Tackled by Rob? Then enter to become a character in Hear Me When the Sun Goes Down, the sixth book in the Forged Bloodlines Series!
Wait, what? No, really! I’m having a contest to let one of you into Anja’s world.
The winner gets a character named after you, or a name of your choosing. BUT, if you pick something like Boobies McGee it’s probably going to be a stripper character, so keep that in mind.
This is designed to be a bit part. It could be anything from a new waitress at the Bleeding Hart to one of the unseen Order members, to the quirky guy who delivers blood from the local blood bank. I may end up killing you off, unless I get truly inspired. In which case, I could end up keeping you around for a while.
Here’s the nitty gritty:
The winner must be available by either email or on DM on Facebook to talk about your name, description and personality traits (I have a quiz to send you). The more communicative you are, the more time I have to work you into my outline and the better the role will be. In addition to getting a character named after you, the winner also gets an advanced copy of Hear Me When the Sun Goes Down, as well as a shout out on the acknowledgements page.

Do all of the above and you’ll end up with a total of 9 possible points. Just mention in your blog comment the number of points you earned and how you earned them. The winner’s points must be verifiable. I’ll be reaching out to the winner via email.
By entering this contest, you are agreeing to let me use your name/description/personality in my book at my sole discretion. Yes, I will chat with you about your character and will take suggestions as to where you would like to enter into the book, but at the end of the day, I’ll end up writing it how I think it best fits in with the plot. So, that means if you don’t like what I do with the character, you can’t sue me for eleventy million dollars or anything.

Cool competition, love it when you do these. I am a huge Rob fan as I always felt his cool as a cucumber way and willingness to do anything was what intrigued me but his mysterious nature pulled me in first. Really love the series in general and Lisa is fantastic to talk to about her books.

Follow you on Twitter and Facebook (not a stalker), left a review for a book. I’ll get to the Tweeting and Facebooking the contest here in a minute… so there’s five. I thought I signed up for the newsletter but I never get anything, so I guess I’ll go add again, so that’s six.
Now. Why would I make an awesome character? Let’s see… I’m a kick-ass woman who loves (almost) everything geeky. I constantly make references to geek things, quoting shows, comics, and youtube videos. No, really. Rob and I have entire conversations based on Firefly, Avengers, and Gamers quotes. Add a little Princess Bride and some Angel sometimes.
Double jointed though. Hmm. I can’t beat that. Oh! Although I can touch my tongue to my nose. In fact, I have a freakishly long tongue. I don’t have that little connector bit under my tongue. I can also turn it upside down and stick it out. I used to have it pierced, which was TOTAL fun, but I had to remove it for work :/
So yeah. There’s my seventh point. I’ll see about getting those last two soon.

I’m sure Bishop would play with me a little bit then I would get killed by a shift door at the zoo crushing me. Well, how in the hell do I compete with all those ladies?
I’m not going to. I’ve already had my one moment of fame and although I love your competition (and your books), I’m not exciting enough to be a character.
I wish everyone who enters good luck and I know from personal experience that chatting with Mrs Olsen in any form is always a delight.
Omg I’m dying right now waiting for this book to come out! I check everyday to see if you have postes anything new about the book. I literally read the first five in 3 days that it annoyed my husband because I ignored him the whole time I was reading and got mad when he interrupted me. I have 7 out of the 9 due to the fact that I don’t have a blog. But lets make it 8 points for the secret option I would be a good character because i would totally rock as a vampire I love anything to do with vampires. You’ve got me so hooked on this series that I wish bishop was real I’d toatally leave my husband for him!!!!!! Please please please hurry with this book I am dying waiting for it to be released!!!!!!
Okay I so want to do this and am working my way through the points…
I would make a good character, or a name of my choosing, because I have a better than average understanding of the police.
Plus being a huge fan of almost every cop show from Adam-12 and dragnet to NCIS has got to help.
Love this idea its brilliant!! I bloody love your books, I cannot wait for Hear Me to come out. I read all five in Anja’s story in less than two weeks. Book worm much? (add in a 40hr plus work week and being a single mom, add gypsy boyfriend…I snuck in every ounce of Anja time) I love Anja’s love of music, singer songwriter myself. I also love her gumption, she has such a great sense of spirit, she’s fierce but also entertains a wonderful sense of humanity.
